For the teenagers is really important to keep in touch with friends, but sometimes its difficult to do it in the real life, so the social media takes importance as a magic window, to talk with friends and share pictures, quotes, etc. The "Social media lifestyle" sometimes make the people depend of a phone or a computer, and is not bad if we see them as a tool, but they sometimes become a problem, for example spending so much time in the digital life, but forgetting the real one. 

Another problem is the cyberbullying,  and the self-confidence that start disappearing when the critics and bad comments take power in our posts.  One thing that is really important to talk about with children is the "Double faced people" on the digital world, that is shown like powerful, but coward in reality. 

Social Media as an IB Topic.

In my opinion,  S.M. can be related with more than one topic, for example lifestyles, technology, social relationships, etc. But the main is the technology, because is the first step to insert media to our lyfestyle and make social relationships with friends and familly. In conclution, as I said before the first step of all this process is the technology.
